TACSIGHT enables law enforcement personnel to see heat signatures of objects, people, and other sources. TACSIGHT detects extremely small differences in temperature, so that officers can distinguish people from their immediate surroundings. Needing no light to operate, the TACSIGHT generates high-quality images on the darkest nights, even through smoke and fog. Compare that to conventional night vision equipment, which requires light or special illuminators and is incapacitated by smoke, fog, and often other particulates. While darkness and camouflage can defeat night vision, suspects cannot hide from TACSIGHT. Their own body heat gives them away.

both the "desktop" charger and vehicle mount system for Tacsight and the T3 range are compatible and interoperable, meaning that batteries from both systems can be recharged in either system, adding to capacity and capability, especially during joint operations.
- Transmit / receive system
Both Tacsight and the T3 range broadcast and receive on the same 2.4 GHz 4-channel frequency range, using interoperable equipment. This means that you can expand or coordinate operations through use of this compatible system. The Command Bag
A complete command center in a portable, protective bag!
The ultimate in utility, durability, and convenience has arrived – a complete receiving system housed in a durable, heavy duty padded bag.
Features Include:
- Large Viewing Screen
Whether used for training exercises, or for scene assessment, the large 5 inch display allows for viewing by multiple users. The LCD screen is mounted into the top of the main compartment of the bag complete with video out and power supply wires.
- DC Powered VCR
The Command Bag comes complete with a video recorder to capture incidents, surveillance, or other exercises for later use in assessment evidence, or training. The VCR is powered by 12 VDC and is mounted in the bottom of the main compartment.
- Receiver
Each Command Bag includes a 2 or 4-channel receiver system complete with Omni-directional antenna, and matched to the Thermal Imager specified by the customer.
- Heavy Duty, Padded Bag
All components are installed in the heavy duty Cordura® bag. Manufactured by Dupont, Cordura is an engineered fabric providing heavy duty durability for the tough environments of law enforcement and military applications.
- Basic Assembly
The 5 inch monitor is screw-mounted securely in the top of the bag.
The VCR sits in the lower section of the interior of the bag, secured with webbing.
The receiver system is installed in the bottom compartment and “floats” for ease of accessibility and channel adjustment.
An 8 foot, coiled power cord is located in the lower front pocket. The connection end passes through a pre-fabricated hole in that pocket and connects to the power connection port of the monitor, VCR, and receiver.
The antenna is located in the upper front pocket and the connection passes through a pre-fabricated hole and routed to the receiver where it is attached.
RCA cables are used to connect in series …. receiver, VCR & monitor.

Tacsight Transmitter and Receiver
TACSIGHT is the only law enforcement thermal imager to feature a true wireless attachable transmitter system. Housed conveniently in an ergonomic handle which attaches easily to the base of the TACSIGHT thermal imager, sourcing power and video image directly from the camera itself, this powerful transmitter is capable of conveying high quality images at distances of over 3000 feet clear line-of-sight, and 200-300 feet in typical commercial building construction.
The TACSIGHT transmitter is available as either 2-channel or 4-channel, both operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency range, sending a remote signal to a separate remote receiver unit.
Weighing well less than one pound, the TACSIGHT transmitter is easily attached to the TACSIGHT thermal imager via a thumb screw connection to the base of the camera. Whenever the transmitter is operating, a separate transmitter indicator light will illuminate at the top of the transmitter handle.
The TACSIGHT transmitter system is the only thermal imager system available for law enforcement that becomes truly integral to the camera itself.
The compatible 2-channel or 4-channel receiver is built in to the separate Command Bag monitor / recorder unit allowing both scene command as well as recording for training or evidentiary purposes.

The TACSWITCH
A new, optional display control switch (on / off / dim) allows the operator to control the amount of backlighting exposure to him/herself with the camera still operating! Why is this significant? Even in the “off” position, the camera can still transmit the full, “bright” image to a command unit so that a 2nd officer can see what the camera sees, and he/she can advise the user of what and where the danger is!
In the “dim” position the TACSWITCH allows tactical thermal imager use in dark situations without discernable backlight exposure to the operator.
Yet, for those situations where law enforcement can take full advantage of a large bright display, such as searching for lost children, senior citizens, hazmat events, or other non-tactical scenarios, the TACSWITCH allows full bright images, on the large 5.5 inch display!

Why Buy Tacsight ?
Officer Safety
Many fugitive searches, building entries, back alley patrols, and other tactical, surveillance or patrol operations put law enforcement officers at risk due to very poor visibility and the exposure of the officer in the course of the task at hand. Flashlights pinpoint the officer. There may not be enough light for night vision equipment to be effective. TACSIGHT thermal imager detects the threat by heat signature alone. It does not illuminate the officer nor does it signal it’s presence to the threat. Officers can detect threats without being exposed.
See What Cannot Otherwise be Seen
Heavily camouflaged fugitives, suspects hiding in attic recesses, threats cowering in the underbrush, suspicious individuals lurking in a dark alley, even street dealers “conducting business” behind the cover of a line of bright vehicle lights – all may escape detection by conventional means. The human eye and even night vision equipment will likely not detect the well camouflaged or well hidden. The human eye cannot pick out the cleverly disguised or those hiding behind bright lights. Bright lights will render night vision ineffective. But TACSIGHT thermal imagers are unaffected by camouflage or bright lights. Thermal imagers “see” ONLY heat. Heavy or clever camouflage or bright lights do not deter TACSIGHT. The suspect’s body heat – always emitted to the surface of what they wear – is enough for TACSIGHT to present a clear and distinctive visual display image.
Find the Unfindable
A child wanders away from home. An elderly patient strays away from the care facility. Time is precious and the need to find the lost person is urgent. Flashlights, the human eye, and night vision all have their limitations. No matter how dark it is, as long as the lost person provides a heat signature it will be detected by TACSIGHT and clearly displayed as an unmistakable image. Larger areas are searched, more quickly, with more positive results, than by any other method.
