The compact camera probe

The Searchcam Mongoose provides rescue personnel with a multi-purpose video inspection tool. Borrowing the state of the art technology of its big brother, the Searchcam 2000 Victim Location System, the Mongoose is designed to give emergency personnel the ability to visualize hard to reach areas. Due to its small size and maneuverability, the Mongoose lends itself to so many uses at the rescue scene that its use is truly only limited by one's imagination.

The Mongoose can be used at structure collapse incidents to get into and maneuver within small void spaces. It can be used as an aid to breaching operations to allow rescuers to check for structure stability as well as victim safety. The Mongoose is valuable at vehicle and industrial extrication incidents. It can be placed under the dash to check for foot and leg entanglement or behind heavy machinery to visualize the patient's degree of entrapment.

The smaller Mongoose camera head fits into tight spots with ease. The 120 degree articulation allows excellent viewing range. The system's articulation controls are smooth and precise, just like you expect from a Searchcam.

Articulating head

The Mongoose camera head articulates in one direction a total of 120 degrees. This allows the camera to look backward, toward the operator. The 16 element white LED illumination and full color camera provide excellent picture quality in zero light conditions at a distance as close as one inch to over six feet away. The detachable display provides increased operational flexibility. One hand operation is easy with the display attached or the display can be removed for limitless probe maneuverability.

As with all Searchcam systems, the Mongoose is designed and built for quality. There is no plastic in this little animal. It is machined from solid, high strength aluminum and is built to take a beating. The Mongoose is compatible with all Searchcam 2000 accessories and batteries.
