The PalmScope is a unique product providing a convenient way of capturing both single video frames and movie clips to a removable Compact Flash card. It is compatible with both PAL and NTSC, composite or S-video signals and you can preview images on the built-in LCD display before saving to the memory card.
Images are stored in an efficient compressed JPEG format and movie clips in MPEG format. The storage capacity is limited only by the size of the Compact Flash card used and a 1Gb card will store about 30 minutes of video or many thousands of images. Movie clips and images can be uploaded to a PC, via the USB card reader supplied, where clips can be played back under Quicktime for Windows.
The unit is ideal for applications where portability is required and images need to be stored. ( i.e, house & pest inspections, aviation inspections, surveillance operations, on-site customs inspections along with many others ).
