High Quality and Superior Design

Introducing the BugEye Thermal Pest Camera. The latest technology in termite and pest detection. The BugEye Thermal Camera utilizes a high resolution monitor to display temperature differences down to 0.05°C allowing the operator to see both warm and cool areas in wall and ceiling cavities caused by termite infestation. Due to the highly sensitive resolution of the unit, active termite leads in hidden cavities are also visible in ideal conditions. A unique capability of the unit is the optional wireless transmitter module for viewing images on a remote screen or documenting inspections on a notebook PC or VCR.

The integrated 'Thermal Throttle' allows the user to visualize warm areas easily by showing them as blue regions on the screen. The throttle makes tracking mud leads and nests over a large wall areas simple.

The palm sized unit is lightweight, durable and extremely simple to operate. The camera kit consists of two rechargeable batteries, a plug pack charger with AC and DC adapters, wrist strap, product orientation CD and a sturdy foam lined Pelican carry case.

The sensitive technology behind the BugEye Thermal Camera is housed in a rugged 'Ultem Thermoplastic' outer case with protective cover for the flat screen monitor ensuring that your investment is protected in the rough day to day conditions encountered in the field.  Temperature resistant up to 150°C, impact & water resistant, the BugEye Thermal Camera will provide years of reliable service and save you time in detecting termite activity.

Features :

  • High sensitivity for detection of activity in difficult areas.
  • High resolution monitor for reliable diagnosis.
  • Light weight, portable, water and impact resistant .
  • Extended battery life ( upto 2.5 hours operation ).
  • Thermal Throttle feature.
  • Affordable price tag.
Weighing in at only 1.2KG, the palm size BugEye Thermal Camera is ushering in a new generation of thermal images for Pest Inspectors. With the addition of the BugEye Thermal Camera to the BugEye product lineup, INLINE Systems now offers Pest Inspectors the most comprehensive line of inspection equipment available anywhere in the world.

The new BugEye Thermal is ideal for Pest Inspectors who desire a small, lightweight and compact unit for optimal ease of handling in the field. The unit presents the industry with an affordable thermal imaging solution with mass market appeal.

Based on Raytheon's next generation Amorphous Silicon Microbolometer Technology, BugEye Thermal offers unmatched durability and is half the weight and size of other units on the market. As the first supplier to offer this technology to the pest industry, INLINE Systems has solidified itself as the technology leader in the industry.

Application Examples

The following images were taken in residential properties and demonstrate the effectiveness of the BugEye Thermal camera in detecting nesting inside wall and ceiling cavities. Note that an active nest will appear brighter than the surrounding wall due to the heat generated by the termites. Inactive nests will generally appear darker due to the cold 'sink' nature of the mud pack.

Note that conditions such as direct sunshine or cold rain on exterior wall surfaces will have a noticeable effect on what the thermal camera can detect on these walls from inside the building. These effects should be taken into account during the inspection process where ever possible and exterior walls should be inspected at times when these situations can be avoided.

Options & Accessories

Transmitter and Command System

INLINE Systems offers a compact transmitter pistol grip for the BugEye Thermal Imaging Camera along with a package combining a monitor, VCR, antenna, and an integrated receiver unit (AC/DC power). The new transmitter system is conveniently housed in a separate 'pistol grip' which can be screwed onto the base of the camera when required. The output of the receiver can be fed directly into a TV or VCR for recording the inspection or into a notebook PC where both still and moving images can be saved..

Vehicle Mount Charging System

The vehicle mount and the new POWERHOUSE™ Charging Station attach to any flat surface. Each vehicle mount serves as a handy carrier for the thermal camera as well as a charging station that continuously charges both the battery in the imager and an additional one in the charging socket (12 or 24VDC or AC power). The POWERHOUSE with its “plug and charge” system sets new standards in design and functionality and ensures that your BugEye Thermal camera is ready to use when you need it.
