INLINE Dental News December 2010

Welcome

With 2010 rapidly coming to an end and Christmas approaching, we would like to thank you for your support over the last 12 months. Although we are slowly moving out of the global recession, we have seen the uncertainty linger as the government removed the investment allowances that helped keep equipment growth strong during 2009. Australian dentists have seen an overall reduction in turnover and have consequently tightened up and postponed equipment purchases until they see improvements in patient demand. We are however optimistic about the opportunities that 2011 promises as the economy continues to grow and demand for innovative products which improve service and productivity recovers. This increase in confidence can be seen by the higher attendance numbers at trade conferences and exhibitions throughout the second half of 2010.

The last few months have been extremely busy with several conferences in locations ranging from Christchurch, Melbourne and Sydney through to Perth. Our introduction of the new LED light source on the Global G6 Microscope at the endodontic meeting in Christchurch was very exciting with many existing users expressing interest in upgrading. The new light source is brighter than the current Novalux metal halide light source and there are no more bulbs to change! We also had a lot of interest in the I-Max Touch 3D along with the Newtom VGi and 5G units at the radiology conference in Perth. The low dose, high resolution and small footprint of the Newtom VGi sets a new standard in Cone Beam technology and we are looking forward to welcoming many new customers into the Newtom family over the coming year. Keep an eye open for our equipment specials over the coming months along with a range of new products which we will be releasing at the ADC Conference in Brisbane in March 2011.

The team at INLINE would like to wish you a safe and relaxing Christmas break and we look forward to catching up with you in the new year.

The All New Expanded INLINE in-House Service Department

In keeping with our substantial growth over the last fifteen years, we’re delighted to announce the expansion of the INLINE Service Department. We have recently taken on two additional full time service technicians in our dedicated 'in-house' service department. This means a quicker turnaround on all 'in-house' repairs and an increase in the number of jobs that can be performed locally by our team of expert technicians.

We have recently improved our ability to provide extended support through our remote web portal providing on the spot follow up and assistance to technical software issues. This provides fantastic peace of mind for practitioners relying on imaging software for on the spot diagnosis.

Over the past few years we have introduced tiered level support agreements which provide a range of benefits over and above manufacturers warranty. We now offer premium level support which includes free labour on all 'in-house' repairs, free loan equipment for the duration of a repair, unlimited remote support, free service calls, additional training as well as free software updates and access to our FTP site for the latest software and drivers and a basic level of software support which includes access to our remote web portal for on the spot technical assistance should it be required.

The expansion of our service department has a number of significant benefits to your practice as it ensures that a technician is always available for remote support and means less down time as we will be able to carry out more repair jobs in house without needing to send equipment back to the manufacturer which can be costly and result in exteded down time.

Experience the power of prisms

SurgiTel introduces a compact prismatic 8x magnification in the industry’s most comfortable design. Pictured below: SurgiTel EVK800 FLM on a Chrome Oakley “Radar” Frame.

Some believe that bigger is always better. In the past when we are referring to a surgical telescope, bigger has been synonymous with heavy and cumbersome. This is not the case with SurgiTel’s new compact prismatic EVK800 8x magnification telescope. By utilizing their award winning designs for optimizing weight reduction and decreasing ocular length, SurgiTel has outdone themselves with a high power telescope that can be worn all day.

Higher magnification always brings out fine details that are critical for microsurgical applications. In the past the only way to achieve this kind of detail was through a microscope. As a lower cost alternative, the Surgitel 8x loupes offer portability while delivering excellent image quality at high magnification. Wearing an 8x surgical telescope allows the user to move with the patient and reposition their body without having to set down instruments. This saves critical time, further enhancing efficiency.

“The EVK800’s are a great addition to the Surgitel range, they are a brilliant product. They particularly suit practitioners working in multiple practices where their portability is the winning factor and in situations where a microscope may not be financially viable or simply cannot be fitted for structural reasons.” Alan Slack, National Product Manager INLINE Medical & Dental.

“High power magnification loupes are becoming more and more popular for those users that recognize a benefit of seeing such incredible detail. Wearing an 8x loupe is perfect for doctors that have limited work space and installing a microscope is not a feasible option.” Scott Green, Marketing Director for SurgiTel.

My, I-Max Touch is functioning perfectly and doing exactly want I want it to do. I am impressed with the superb image quality, which happens to appear on screen, within only a matter of seconds. My patients are also all very impressed with seeing their images and I certainly believe the I-Max brings an element of WOW factor, to the practice overall. The system will be paid off sooner than expected which is fantastic. All of my service requests have been attended to promptly and the remote web-support is brilliant.
