SurgiTel Mini LED headlight now with adjustable beam

With the latest upgrade providing an adjustable focused beam, users now have the ability to fine-tune the illumination field size to suit their individual needs.

This new edition of SurgiTel’s Odyssey Mini LED allows the user to adjust the diameter of the light beam while maintaining beam uniformity. Low power loupes need a wider beam, whilst higher power loupes need high intensity. With a single-lens and/or reflector based system it is not possible to adjust the light beam diameter without changing the quality of the light beam. This gives SurgiTel headlights a strong competitive advantage in the marketplace as you will observe no colour change when the light beam diameter is adjusted. The beam diameter is easily adjusted by screwing the outer lens barrel in or out.

SurgiTel's Odyssey Mini LED headlight features a Multi-Lens Optical System which provides a number of benefits over the single lens and/or reflector systems offered by other headlight manufacturers.

The technological advancement offered by a multi-lens optical system means that a uniform light beam is projected over the entire depth of field of the loupes without any change in the colour of the light beam. In a single lens and/or reflector based optical system this quality of light beam is not possible as the colour of the beam exhibits significant colour change at different points within the depth of field of the loupes.

Moving to microscope enhanced dentistry:Truly a purchase that will last a career

Microscopes assist in treatment planning, control and implementation and also have the ability to bring a new sense of enthusiasm to dentists suffering back and neck pain and in general feel fatigued.

We believe the dental microscopes will become a necessary piece of equipment found in most dental surgeries within the next ten years. According to Mike Harman, of INLINE Medical & Dental “The GLOBAL microscope has been extremely well received in Australia with users confirming on a regular basis that they are practising better dentistry and they have more confidence in their work since installing an operating microscope. I have heard time and time again that once dentistry is enhanced with a microscope you will never turn back."

Deciding to invest in a GLOBAL microscope is truly a purchase that will last a career and you will be somewhat impressed with the range of unique benefits a GLOBAL microscope offers its users.

Key points of difference making GLOBAL Microscopes unique?

Magnification
GLOBAL’s microscopes have a full range of magnification settings ranging from x2.1 up to x19.2, making it the perfect scope for restorative dentistry at low magnification and for endodontics at the other end of the scale. Global microscopes have a perfect magnification setting for any procedure. According to Dr Clem Maloof of Earlwood Dental Services “There is not a piece of hardware that I have ever owned that changed my life so much. The best thing about using a Global microscope is that I use it for every single procedure and on every patient.” Dr Craig Swift of Bexley North agrees stating “I chose GLOBAL after a referral from a colleague and have been very happy. I found the improved vision invaluable in procedures like endodontics."

Superior Optics
GLOBAL’s entire optical path was developed using the latest computer aided design technology. This ensures superior contrast, resolution, and depth of focus throughout the full range of magnification. The ultra wide (54mm) objective lens and 16.8mm aperture at all magnifications steps mean more light for the user and results in precise, brilliant image reproduction. Dr Craig Newman & Dr Chris Corvin of Merimbula Dental Associates agree that GLOBAL scopes have superior optics adding " We trialled several scopes before making a purchase decision and found GLOBAL to have the clearest and brightest image."

Excellent Illumination
GLOBAL microscopes are equipped with a superior illumination module giving the product a real advantage in comparison with other systems on the market as illumination is a vital component when working with magnification. The ultra wide (54mm) objective lens and 16.8mm aperture at all magnification steps means more light for the user. According to Dr Ken Lipworth of Bella Vista “The GLOBAL is a solidly built microscope, with excellent optics and a great light source.” Additionally, the new LED light source is brighter and whiter delivering more light evenly over the entire field of view. This fantastic addition to the GLOBAL range is low maintenance, low cost, and long lasting. It is quiet (no fan), small and connects directly to the microscope body and comes with a three year warranty.

Manoeuvrability & Ergonomics
GLOBAL’s dental microscope has a compact balancing system and unique offset arm. This allows for easy balancing and smooth manoeuvrability even with imaging options attached. All support arms fold neatly back on themselves and there are a range of versatile mounting options to ensure seamless integration into all surgery setups. Working with a GLOBAL microscope will allow you to work in a more upright position with a comfortable posture. This means you are less likely to experience strain or fatigue of back and neck muscles and allows you to work for longer periods of time. Dr Gus Jones of Narrabeen Dental Services says that “Since buying my microscope my shoulder pain has gone and my lower back pain is continuing to improve. It’s made a world of difference. I use it on almost every patient and cannot imagine working without it.” Dr Clem Maloof agrees adding that his GLOBAL microscope purchase has been ‘an absolute rejuvenator’. This means more dentistry in fewer visits, improving productivity and patient satisfaction. All of our GLOBAL customers have reported increased patient, with Rick Spencer of Strathfield adding “My friends and I who have a microscope are busier than ever due to patient satisfaction.” According to Dr Robert Aslan of Sydney Laser Dentistry in Mortdale the microscope provides “a “WOW” factor, which tends to bring referrals to the practice.” The patients also benefit from the easy visualization of their needs; this is of paramount importance in gaining acceptance of your treatment plans.”

Modularity
GLOBAL's system is modular and can be upgraded at anytime which is critical with rapid technology advances. Various types of digital recording devices, such as an SLR and/or video camera can be fitted to the scope and updated as required ensuring that you can keep up to date with the latest imaging technology developments. With the optional addition of a beam-splitting device, video and still image can be captured simultaneously providing an excellent communication and education tool.
Another very satisfied GLOBAL customer is Dr Michael Frey of Bundaberg who says “I have really enjoyed my GLOBAL scope and appreciate that 20 years later I can still upgrade to the latest technology that GLOBAL offer. That kind of support is rare in the age of planned obsolescence. A great Global advantage that you need to tell customers about. Every dentist has a closet full of expensive technology that just doesn’t work anymore. A GLOBAL scope will never go in the closet. Truly a purchase that will last a career.”

Dependable service & support
But it is not only the microscopes features that help dentists work efficiently. The support from INLINE Medical & Dental will exceed your expectations. Dr Lipworth of Bella Vista says “INLINE's service and support has been amongst the best I have had from any equipment supplier” With our knowledgeable product specialists and highly qualified technicians, INLINE offer their customers a personable service focusing on each customer’s individual needs. Dr Andrew Istephan of Belmore adds “INLINE had a great reputation for service and support. They did a great job with the installation and we are happy with GLOBAL." We will tailor your Global microscope installation so that it integrates seamlessly into your practice and provide reliable training and support for the duration of your career.

NewTom VGi builds upon market leading position

INLINE Medical & Dental is pleased to announce that the NewTom VGi Cone Beam Scanner has added a new feature making it the first CBCT unit to capture super high resolution images along with large volume functionality in a single machine. The new collimation will allow the NewTom VGi to obtain resolutions down to a .075mm or give the operator the ability to acquire a large 15cm x15cm (FOV) field of view scan when needed. Additionally, the system now has 7 new FOV options with each of the FOV's offering variable voxel sizes. Already known for its superb image quality among Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists and dental specialists, the new variable FOV feature further justifies the commonly heard "professional-grade" label these experts place on the NewTom range.

Mike Harman, Director of INLINE Systems commented, "This is one of the most significant upgrades we've seen from any cone beam CT manufacturer to date. This new feature pushes the envelope in the industry by adding an even higher resolution to the NewTom VGi, a feature which up to now, was typically seen in only the implant specific or small FOV units." Harman added, "It is now the highest resolution CBCT of all the units in the large FOV category. Anyone who is considering a Cone Beam CT, regardless of specialty, should take a look at the NewTom VGi with this amount of flexibility."

Furthermore, NewTom Systems combine a host of other unique features resulting in less radiation, greater accuracy, and superior image quality in comparison with other CBCT systems. NewTom is one manufacturer that adheres to the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) through the patented Safe Beam Technology™ which automatically sets the radiation level following an evaluation of the patient's anatomical density. A small child receives up to 40% less radiation than the already very low level for a full-sized adult and patients are therefore never exposed to unnecessary radiation. A NewTom VGi scan exposes the patient to an average of only 50 microsieverts per scan in comparison to a medical CT scan averaging 1500-2000 microsieverts per scan.

A NewTom scan takes an image at every degree of rotation increasing the range of possibilities for image manipulation - 360° rotation = 360 images. The scan takes less than 18 seconds and produces the clearest and sharpest CBCT image obtainable from any CBCT system, with resolution ranging from 0.3 to 0.075mm. Additionally, NewTom CBCT systems offers a small footprint and flexible seating thus accommodating wheel chair patients and small children, and provides a combination of features to ensure optimum patient outcomes.

NewTom Cone Beam Systems and software are compatible with third party treatment planning software and milling systems. This seamless integration of technologies offers greater efficiencies by improving diagnostics, patient education and treatment acceptance, and most importantly improves surgical outcomes. According to Sydney Dentist David Leafe who has been using a Newtom VG systems for over two years, “All the required data is gathered through one simple scan - the patient understands the 3D scan which makes my consulting process much quicker and the images produced by the Newtom enable me to plan my treatment in much more detail. We use the NewTom VG daily and have been very happy with the system”
