I-Max Plus Digital OPG
The I-Max Plus incorporates a number of features intended to minimize the positioning error and to guarantee the best radiographic result. Frontal positioning is the most reliable, fast and accurate technique to position the patient. The image is digitized at the source to prevent the risk of information loss. The digital imaging software included with the I-Max Plus enables the user to visualize the patient pathology to assist in rapid interpretation and diagnosis of the image.
Fitted with a “Compact Flash Card,” the I-Max Plus can store images without be connected to a PC. Once the images are saved on the flash card they can be uploaded to a PC, without the need for installing a computer network. Alternatively the I-Max Plus is fitted with a USB-2 interface and can be connected to an existing computer network.
Features
Digital OPG for Every Surgery.
The I-Max Plus lets you work face-to-face with patients using the integrated terminal or at your desk while enjoying full control of the system functions through the software provided. Two keys give you access to pre-programmed standard examinations. For each of them, the trajectory and collimator drive are optimized during the exposure. The digitally controlled motors adjust I-Max Plus to the exact height of your patient.

Anatomical Programs.
Over 18 anatomical programs enable you to produce a large range of diagnostic combinations. The semi-panoramic option, for example, allows examinations of one side and thereby substantially reducing radiation levels. Also available are Sinus, TMJ (mouth opened and closed) and Orthogonality programs giving you access to valuable morpho-physiopathological data.
The I-Max Plus is a sophisticated multi-motor dental X-ray system with a comprehensive choice of exam programs. Based on the selected type of examination, the user can choose between several anatomic programs: adult/child, small/medium/large patient size and narrow/standard/wide arch. According to the choice, the system automatically sets the most appropriate exposure parameters to obtain the best image result. It is also possible to modify the default values. With a minimum of experience, the anatomic programs allow to select the best possible setting to guarantee an excellent result in every exam. KV and Ma settings can be adjusted individually if necessary.
- Adult Panoramic
- Child-Panoramic
- Semi-Panoramic - Left
- Semi-Panoramic - Right
- Improved Dentition
- Lateral TMJ Open / Closed Mouth
- Biaxial TMJ
- Back / Front TMJ
- Cephelometric
- Orthogonal Images of Dentition
- P-A Maxillary Sinus.
- Maxillary Sinus - Left
- Maxillary Sinus - Right
- Tomography
The anatomic programs, the front to front patient positioning, the centering laser beams on three planes ensure the best radiographic quality. I-Max is easy to use and safe:
Multi-Motor Technology.
I-MAX Plus offers the latest in Panoramic Xray technology. Based on a generator much in demand throughout the world for the quality of its components, I-Max brings together the latest advances in the technology of medical imaging.
The motion of the rotating arm is obtained with three independent axis of movement controlled by software algorithms that can be easily expanded and modified to adapt to new and different needs. The wide range of movement allows every exam to be take without changing the position of the patient.
Fully Digital.
The digital imaging software included with the I-Max enables you to emphasize the patient pathology (upward adjustment, zoom, measurements, video-inversion, pseudo-colours, etc.), to assist in rapid interpretation and diagnosis of the image.
Each exposure setting is memorized in the patient folder, and can be easily reproduced. The exposure programming can also be changed manually and adapted precisely to specific cases (e.g. patients with a number of metal prostheses or discontinuous dentition).
I-Max Plus is also fitted with Automatic Exposure Control (AES) and Automatic Spine Control (ASC) algorithms to guarantee the correct imaging values, exposure after exposure for any sized patient and with all operators.
Dual System.
Fitted with a 'Compact Flash Card', the I-Max Plus can store images without being connected to a PC. Once the images are saved on the Flash Card, they can be loaded onto any PC or Notebook in the practice giving you and your staff freedom of movement without installing a computer network. This configuration is great for large or group practices where several surgeons require access to the equipment.
Also fitted with a USB-2 interface, the I-Max can be connected directly to an existing practice computer network through any PC with a USB port. Resource sharing becomes the key to profitable practice management whatever your configuration.
Frontal Patient Positioning.
It is well known that the key in achieving good panoramic exposures is a the correct positioning of the patient. I-Max incorporates a number of features intended to minimize the positioning error and to guarantee the best possible radiographic result.
Frontal positioning is the most reliable, fast and accurate technique to position the patient. The frontal positioning allows you to see the patient and the console at the same time and also reduces the possibility of errors due to the image reflection used in other OPG systems.
The natural face-to-face position of the patient is also a feature of I-Max. A relationship of confidence is immediately established 'eye-to-eye' while still providing you with full operational control of the system through the easy to use terminal.
Patient Handles.
The angle and the position of the ergonomic handles naturally spread the shoulders, while significantly extending the neck to guide the patient into a stable and comfortable position. A choice of chin supports (including supports for toothless patients) enables fine adjustment of the height of the mouth.
Centering Lasers.
Optimum positioning is verified before exposure by three laser beams displaying the Frankfurt & Mid-Sagittal planes along with Lateral plane for the correct angulation of the patient's head.
Chin Rest.
I-Max is equipped with different chin rests suitable for every situation, including a specific support for edentulous patients. The height of the supports can also be adjusted to enhance the visibility of the chin on the radiography when required.
HF Generator.
The very low ripple of the constant potential generator reduces the patient dose by 20% compared to conventional system. The high frequency generator automatically sets the best radiographic parameters according to the exam type and the anatomic program in order to give you an unmatched image quality. The wide range of emission parameters (50 to 80 kV in 2 kV steps, 4 to 12 mA in 1mA steps) ensures the perfect selection of values for any application.
Accessory Storage.
The accessory storage compartment has 4 sterilizable trays that can accommodate the disposables and the accessories making them immediately available when required.
Vertical Travel of the Column.
The vertical travel of the column is motorized and has a double speed for a quick and precise patient positioning. Double key activation prevents from unwanted column movement. Three mounting positions allow a quick adaptation to all room heights.

Reliable Quality.
Service is made easy by a wealth of information that the system can give to the service engineer, to speed up the troubleshooting process. Specific functions have been introduced in the software to help the service engineer check and tune all the parameters of the system through guided menus.
A new section dedicated to troubleshooting has been added in the service manual. This section gives a step by step approach to identifying the failures or problems in the system and to solving them in the most effective way.
A kit of service tools has also been produced to help the service engineers during installation and maintenance to obtain the best calibration of the system in the shortest time.
